I am in college and I am taking a chemistry class. We are doing problems involving Avogadro's number.
I was wondering how to use my calculator to divide to numbers in scientific notation. I'm dividing 1.15 times 10 to the 23rd by 6.022 times 10 to the 23rd and I keeping getting a number with a 45th power attached to it. Also, if I multiply 4 times 10 to the 4th I'll get 400,000 and I know that is not the correct answer.
The correct answer is 40,000. If you could please tell me what I'm doing wrong asap thank you!
